This summer, Dobson says that she is not touring but is attending as many music festivals as she can in order to promote her music.ĭobson says she has just finished recording her fourth studio album, though the name has not been disclosed. “I'm actually doing a really cool girls' rock medley – I can't say too much because I don't want to give it away, but it's super fun,” she said, adding that she has played the medley at other concerts and it has been a big hit. When asked what her favourite song from the PeaceFest set list is, Dobson chose a tribute piece rather than one of her original songs. “I'm very inspired by classic rock artists like Jim Morrison and Mick Jagger and Joan Jett and the Runaways, and 70s rock and roll and 70s film too,” she said. “The best part of the music industry is making music,” she added after a pause.ĭobson says that she admires and draws stylistic inspiration from the 1970s. “My favourite part about being in the music industry is, I'd say, touring and getting to perform the music live and seeing people's reactions,” she said.
